United then have a week without a game before traveling to Norway for a game against Atletico Madrid on July 30.

Eriksen officially joined United as a free agent last week and will begin training when the team return from Australia, according to the Telegraph.

During the signing, Eriksen explained how delighted he was to work under new boss Ten Hag.

And the feeling between the pair is mutual.

Old Trafford gaffer Ten Hag is also relishing the chance to work with the playmaker, who caught his eye during his short spell at Brentford in the second half of last season.

Ten Hag said of his new signing: “The expectations are there. That’s why we have him.

“I’m confident he will fit into the team and in some facts of our game he will help us. I’m looking forward to it.

“He’s an experienced player. He plays abroad, in Italy, in the Netherlands, in England for a long time, so he knows the Premier League. It’s an absolute advantage that we have him.”

Ten Hag also praised Eriksen for his vision – and predicted the club’s forwards would be happy with his arrival.

The Denmark international has provided four assists in 11 games for the Bees.

Ten Hag continued on Eriksen: “I think he’s a wonderful football player and I think the fans will enjoy watching him because he’s creative, he has ideas.

“I especially think that our attackers will also be happy because he is the one who can involve them in the game.”

But whether it’s Cristiano Ronaldo or Anthony Martial who Eriksen provides assists for remains to be seen with CR7 wanting an exit at Old Trafford.

Martial, on the other hand, has been in fine form during pre-season which made all United fans say the same thing.
