Result CUET UG 2022: The Central University Entrance Test (CUET UG) scorecard will be very different from that issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to JEE Main and NEET candidates. The CUET result will be available at cuet.samarth.ac.in today.

Unlike the national entrance tests for engineering and medicine, after which a common advising process (read: common allocation of seats) starts, there will be no centralized admission for the 90 universities participating in CUET. Each university will make its own admission based on merit lists based on applicants’ CUET score.

This, in turn, means that NTA will not record any All India Merits or Rankings and Category Cut Ratings on the CUET Dashboard as it usually does for NEET and JEE Main.

“Think of GRE (Graduate Record Examination) or SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) reports, which basically only tell you what you got in a section or subject. It says nothing about your performance relative to the other applicants. Candidates then use this score to apply to universities. CUET will not be too different from that,” a senior official told The Indian Express.

In other words, the CUET dashboard will sport a much simpler look. Here is what it will reflect:

1. Candidate’s name, registration number, application number and photograph

2. Candidate’s father’s name and mother’s name

3. Category (General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwD)

4. Gender

5. A table which will bear the name of the subjects of the field in which the candidate was assessed. The percentile score and the absolute (but normalized) score will be mentioned for each of the domain papers that the candidate has passed. Another column of this table will show the absolute/normal score in words. The normalized absolute score will be between 200 and -40 points in all subjects other than the general test. In the case of the general test, the normalized score will be between 300 and -60 points.

6. Signature of NTA manager

7. A set of usual disclaimers and footnotes such as percentile score is not the same as percentage of marks achieved, definition of percentile and how it is calculated, etc.

This is the first year that admission to undergraduate programs at 44 central universities is through a common entrance test. Almost 10 lakh unique candidates had registered for the exam. It took place in several phases over a month and a half. The CUET rollout has had its share of glitches, with the exam being postponed and even completely canceled due to technical issues.

To solve the starter problems for next year, the NTA is considering a reduction in the number of choices of materials and combinations. Reducing the number of subject combinations offered and revising the number of cities where exams are held are among the measures being considered.

In an interview with The Indian Express last month, NTA chief Vineet Joshi said, “It was CUET’s first year and people were worried that it would be another test. entrance that would drive students towards coaching. In this context, we have decided not to limit the proposed thematic combinations. This ultimately led to over 45,000 unique student-chosen subject combinations appearing for CUET-UG. However, based on suggestions from various scholars and students, we are now seeking to strike a balance. We could offer a reduction in the basket of subjects from which candidates can choose…”, he said.
