FBM, General Touch Co Link for Philippines Typhoon Relief
FBM, a manufacturer of casino slot machines and an international specialist in electronic bingo machines, says its FBM Foundation has partnered with Chinese company General Touch Co Ltd, a producer of touchscreen technology, to help locals from the province of Isabela in the Philippines, affected by the recent Typhoon Florita, known as Typhoon Ma-on in China and elsewhere.
“General Touch made a financial donation of US$10,000 and the FBM Foundation used it…to distribute essential kits with food and hygiene supplies. [pictured] for the people of Isabela,” the FBM Foundation said in a press release on Tuesday.
Each kit contained food – rice, preserves and noodles – and hygiene items for daily use.
“We hope that this can be the first step in a quick and sustainable return for this region of the Philippines,” said Vítor Francisco, director of the FBM Foundation, quoted in the press release.
Isabela Province is located in the Cagayan region, northeast of Luzon, the main island of the Philippine archipelago.
The FBM Foundation was established as a result of humanitarian work coordinated by the FBM brand to help Filipino communities affected by natural disasters.
