How to watch, broadcast the link, team news

Watford vs West Ham is a clash both teams are set to win at Vicarage Road on Tuesday (watch live, 10 a.m.ET on Peacock Premium) while Claudio Ranieri and David Moyes stick together.

The Hornets are fighting on the wrong end of the Premier League table and haven’t played a game since December 10 when they lost 2-1 to Brentford. Ranieri’s men have been hit hard by COVID-19 cases and injuries in recent weeks and the Italian coach will have tried to make the best use of this forced three-week break to build a solid defensive base. Watford is in 17th place but has played one game more than 18th Burnley and is just two points ahead of the Clarets. They have West Ham, Tottenham, Newcastle and Norwich in their next four games and that seems crucial.

As for West Ham, well, they’re out of shape. Moyes’ side have won just one of their last seven PL games and lost 3-2 at home to Southampton last time around. Michail Antonio is back and is expected to start after recovering from a positive COVID-19 test, which will help him immensely. However, it is at the other end that West Ham struggles as they miss Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma sorely in defense. The former is out for the season, while the latter is out until the end of January, at least, and West Ham is broadcasting cheap goals galore. They’re still in the hunt for the top six, but it looks like a top-four ranking is fading away after a poor run in November and December.

Here’s everything you need to know before Watford vs West Ham.

Watford squad news, injuries, roster options

Star winger Ismaila Sarr is absent with a knee ligament injury which is a big blow, while longtime absentee Peter Etebo remains out after a thigh problem. Goalkeeper Ben Foster is out until mid-January, while Christian Kabasele is closing in on a comeback. Kwadwo Bah and Nicolas N’Koulou are also absent. After a long hiatus, it’s hard to predict which squad Ranieiri will put together, but Emmanuel Dennis, Tom Cleverley, Moussa Sissoko and Josh King will all play key roles.

West Ham squad news, injuries, roster options

The Hammers have defensive injuries with Aaron Cresswell treating a back problem as he joins Ogbonna and Zouma on the sidelines. Influential central midfielder and captain Declan Rice is suspended for this game, so expect either Mark Noble or Alex Kral to come in. Antonio will surely start after coming in at half-time against Southampton.
