DUBAI (Reuters) – Britain paid its debt days ago, Iran’s semi-official ISNA news agency reported on Wednesday, citing Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian.
Amirabdollahian denied any link between the payment of Britain’s $530 million debt and the release of two Anglo-Iranian prisoners after years in detention.
