Link CMP presents a two-tier system for mid-size vans

Link CMP has announced the introduction of its new DD-EX2 dual stage system designed exclusively for the Mercedes-Benz Metris. The DD-EX2 is Link’s first bi-level system designed to fit a mid-size van. The system design requires only one operator and doubles the load capacity of the popular Mercedes-Benz Metris. In an era of rising fuel and labor costs, and amid an ongoing shortage of full-size vans, the DD-EX2 increases the efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of workers and vehicles by increasing capacity while reducing labor and mileage costs.

continuing shortage of full-size vans, the DD-EX2 increases worker and vehicle efficiency, effectiveness and productivity by increasing capacity while reducing labor and mileage costs.

Well-suited to the funeral industry, Link noted in a press release, the DD-EX2’s 600-pound capacity electric upper deck raises and lowers in seconds, allowing an operator to load four beds. , three cremation containers or two air trays. Interchangeable and adjustable beer pins and polyethylene bands allow the management of different mortuary containers on the two lightweight all-aluminum decks.

A sturdy, impact-resistant folding ramp makes loading easier while protecting the rear of the vehicle and allowing easy access to decks, Link noted. Interchangeable and adjustable beer pins allow a single worker to stow, secure and manage different containment formats on both decks. The decks also feature recessed cast aluminum bed pans that help provide container stability and peace of mind during transport.

The upper deck is designed with a reinforced frame and simplified lifting geometry. Both decks are made of extruded aluminum and sealed fiberglass, protecting the vehicle and allowing sanitation. The system is compatible with 12 volt electrical systems and professional installation is required.
