Link Mfg. expands and further strengthens its sales force

Link Mfg., Ltd., the leader in specialty suspensions, suspension controls and air management products and a Tier 1 supplier to major heavy commercial truck manufacturers, announced the recent appointment of Ben Lucas as as Fleet Sales Manager and Strategic Account Director and Dave Shrader will take on new account management responsibilities with OEM customer Navistar.

A sales veteran with over 20 years of experience, Lucas has served former employers in roles such as National Sales Manager and OEM Sales Manager, and in Customer Relationship Management capabilities. In his new role, Lucas will be responsible for appealing to fleets and maintaining and growing specialty application accounts in electric vehicles, fire trucks, terminal tractors and other market segments. Lucas holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western Michigan University.

Link has also entered into a new agreement with David Shrader of longtime affiliate manufacturer Northwest Heavy Duty, Inc.’s representative agency. In his new role, Shrader will lead Link’s sales efforts with client Navistar. Shrader brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the international medium and heavy duty vehicle markets. Previously, he led Link’s sales efforts with customer Volvo Trucks. Shrader’s educational credentials include Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management.

“Dave is a known amount of Link and an accomplished industry professional,” Huls said. “We are confident that he will continue to bring his tremendous skills and experience to this very important new role at Navistar.”

Lucas and Shrader will be attached to Link’s suspension control engineering center in Grand Rapids. Both men will report to Brian Kujala, Link’s vice president of business development.
