Nigerians react as man attempts suicide on Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge

A video of a young man, who has not yet been identified, attempting to dive to his death on Wednesday morning from the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge caused a stir.

Naija News reports that patrol officers at the Lekki Concession Center and other kind-hearted passers-by prevented the young man, who was already at the edge of the bridge, from jumping off.

In the viral video, patrol officers were seen cheering on the tearful man with powerful motivation before handing him over to law enforcement.

The reasons for his suicide attempt at the time of this report remain unknown.

Nigerians on social media, however, praised the LCC patrol officers for responding quickly to the emergency call and saving the man’s life.
