The Link Farm: 8.23.22 – Happy bull hunting

The Link Farm is your update on all things Texas A&M. And if there’s anything we missed, be sure to mention it in the comments.

  • LB Enai White? Texas A&M’s 2022 recruiting class was absolutely packed at DL, but maybe a little thin at LB. So for that reason, maybe it’s not so shocking that on Monday, DE Enai White was seen practicing with linebackers. At 6’5″ he’s definitely taller than your prototypical LB, but he’s lean and fast, and if he can learn the stance, it can be a good way for him to see the pitch faster than he does. would do this on a stacked DL depth array.
  • “The Ocho.” Aggie Soccer had its home opener on Sunday and erased McNeese State 8-0. They continue their 2022 season on Thursday with a home game against Sam Houston.
  • Than 2018 USL the game is still making waves. Andy Staples wrote about the 20 Most Influential College Football Games of the 2000sand included Texas A&M’s seven-overtime victory over LSU in 2018. In addition to being the highest-scoring game in college football history, it also caused the NCAA to change overtime rules (for the worse, IMO).
  • Aggies in the NFL. As the pro pre-season progresses, several Aggies have made a big impact. Discover the latest here.
  • Update from Demond Demas. The former five-star WR was fired from the Texas A&M program earlier this year following an arrest for domestic violence, and recently announced he would refrain from the 2022 season while the legal process is taking place.
