Whatsapp will bring rich link previews for text status update

WhatsApp now works to generate rich link previews when sharing a text status update link. This will surely help the sender and receiver to check the previews before opening or reading the message entirely. Currently, the tests have been carried out on the iOS platform, but could also be rolled out to Android users. On the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, there is already a preview when sharing a link to text status updates, but it’s not a rich preview.

“WhatsApp generates a rich preview by adding more details to the shared link. WhatsApp plans to release better link previews in the future. WhatsApp will surely bring the same feature to the WhatsApp beta for Android and Desktop at a later date” , noted WABetaInfo.

In other updates, WhatsApp was discovered adjusting the status update page with minor changes. WhatsApp tracker, WABetaInfo, found that the company had removed the emoji, text and background color options from the status update page’s footer and moved them to the top corner. right of the page. It doesn’t affect users at all, but some of you may find it unusual if you spot it first.

The second update is related to the disappearance of WhatsApp messages. After developing a feature allowing users to make multiple chats disappear at once (coming soon), WhatsApp is currently working on a new introduction to disappearing messages that will be released in a future update.

“We can see a header image on disappearing messages and three icons, but let’s focus on the last one: the bookmark image is to keep disappearing messages even after they expire,” WABetaInfo finds out. “Since the new intro mentions the option to keep disappearing messages, WhatsApp cannot show it to users because this feature is still not available. You can understand that this intro will probably appear after the feature is released to continue doing messages will disappear in a future update,” he added.
